This was a great interview with lots of insight on the difficulties involved in juggling full-time work with full-time writing. Always good to hear from someone in the trenches right along with you.

It was also a treat to hear Clare's dulcet tones. Two of my favorite authors together - it doesn't get much better than that.

Thanks, Chrissy! Writing is so solitary. I always love getting another author's take on this thing that consumes our whole lives

what an excellent interview! clare is a wonderful person and a fantastic writer. i love her voice, and could listen to her speak for hours (and she can talk for hours too!)

not to diminish clare's thunder in any way, i wanted to let you know that i've just finished the psycop series and cannot wait for more. they are such lovely books, entertaining to the point of making me stay up late every night to finish one and start the next one. cannot wait to read more of your stories as well.

I had such a lovely time talking to Clare. She has to work more day-job hours than I do, so I tip my hat to her perseverance! I could also chat with her forever.

Thank you so much for the love for PsyCop. The other stuff I've got going on right now is Channeling Morpheus, Zero Hour, and in July a novel at Samhain called Hemovore. I hope to have a new PsyCop out in '10.

clare was my roommate 4 years running at yaoi con (04-07), and there would be many a time she and others would stay up late into the night, only to get up 4 or 5 hours later to sit in lobbies, drink coffee and talk even more. she really is a truly lovely person, and so very wonderful to talk with.

i have psycop.com bookmarked and will be checking it out for additional releases as the appear.

Thanks to both of you for this podcast. Informative, relaxed and conversational -- the perfect mix for an entertaining broadcast.

Clare: you touched on so many of the pros and cons of writing, but I especially related to the frustration of setting aside time to write only to realize your characters have run off to play elsewhere. I'm glad Freeman and his pals dropped in often enough for you to tell their story, and I hope the day you can retire from the work-a-day to write full time comes sooner than you expect.

Hi Jardonn, thanks for the kind words! I'm so thankful Clare was able to join me. I think we often learn more from hearing two people talking together than hearing one person spout off. (That one person being me...)
