Packing Heat 014: Making Spaces
| Download | Duration: 00:26:17
So, how did you like being an adult model for the duration of an assignment? Did you feel sexy? (I don't really, when I'm thinking with my analytical word-mind.) I read a snippet from a Work-for-Hire assignment I've done where I described adult photos of scantily clad women for people with low vision.
A Room of Your Own
I'm finally getting my own office. Yay! It goes to show that you don't actually NEED an office before you can be a writer. I've been working from the corner of my bedroom for the past seven years!
I talk about carpet squares, various types of paint, chalkboard walls, and lighting.
Clear the Clutter
Even if you're not up for a total revamp, how about cleaning up your writing area? For this week's assignment, I challenge you to look analytically at your work area and find all the stuff that you aren't currently using that's taking up space. I'll report back and tell you what I've managed to stow or pitch!
And how's this for Feng Shui? Ever since I started creating my new office, I got three big rebate checks, three birthday cards with money inside, and a multiple-story eBook contract. Seriously. In the last ten days. So if you've been thinking about making some positive changes in your space, don't delay. Get started!
